Vertical raw material mills are used to crush or grind materials into fine particles. Vertical roller mills are widely employed in the concrete and mining industries, as well as for processing gypsum. These machines can handle both raw and recycled materials, helping to minimize waste while preserving the original supply of these resources.
When the mill is operating, all the grinding rollers roll within the annular channel. Under the influence of centrifugal force, the material is pushed toward the edge of the rotating disc and then falls into the grinding chamber.
The grinding roller consists of a thrust plate, roller shaft, roller wheel, hub, roller bearing, and rotary shaft seal, among other components. The grinding roller is positioned between the grinding table and a frame fixed to the structure, housing two bearings: a larger cylindrical roller bearing handles radial loads, while a self-aligning roller bearing accommodates axial loads. The shape of the roller tire is symmetrical, ensuring even rotation under specified wear conditions for optimal utilization.
The grinding table and nozzle ring consist of rotating and stationary components. The rotating parts include a support tray, sector blocks, a conical cover, and more, all operating in tandem with the grinding table carrier. The nozzle blades are securely attached to the support tray and rotate along with the grinding table. Meanwhile, the stationary components are fixed firmly to the mill housing. The insert section within the support tray is secured using wedge-shaped bolts. Additionally, the conical cover on the support tray serves to evenly distribute the raw material while preventing dust and water from seeping into the space below.
