Cone crushers are not suitable for crushing wet, sticky ores. Jaw crushers can handle almost any type of material.
The cone crusher can be loaded with ore and can be fed directly without adding a silo or feeder. However, the jaw crusher cannot be crowded with the ore, and the ore needs to be evenly fed, so an additional silo and feeder need to be installed, which increases the investment cost of auxiliary equipment.
